A Garden Wedding

I loved helping Rhonda and Bob plan an intimate wedding ceremony in their garden at home. Being asked to plan and officiate this wedding was special for me as it was my very first wedding. Working side by side to prepare their garden for the wedding, Ruth and Bill kept their wedding very small, there were only 15 people present. As Ruth walked through the garden, escorted by her two close friends, she greeted her guests who each had a flower they had chosen from the garden to present to her. The collection of flowers became her bridal bouquet.

A quote from the ceremony:

“What better way to be married than in the midst of nature and these beautiful trees, flowers and vegetables. Natural beauty reminds us of all that is good and pure and right in this world. Families grow and are nurtured in outdoor spaces. Every year as Mother Earth gives re-birth to all the plants around us, Rhonda and Bob, will remember today and the people who came to celebrate this marriage with them."
